We are the "controller" of the personal data described in this notice. It covers personal data we collect through this website, and personal data about prospective clients and business contacts. If you take part in coaching, insight, 360 feedback or assessment work with us, a separate participant privacy notice explains how we handle that information.

1) What data we collect

We may collect and process:

•      Contact data: name, email, phone, role, company, and any information you provide through forms or emails.

•      Engagement data: page views, navigation, device and browser information, IP address and approximate location.

•      Call and meeting data: information you share during discovery calls, such as your context and goals, and our notes of the conversation.

•      Prospect and CRM data: notes about potential engagements.

We usually receive this information from you directly, through the website, by email, or on a call or at a meeting. We may also record professional details from public sources such as LinkedIn or company websites, or from an introduction by a colleague, client or contact.

We do not record discovery calls unless everyone on the call has agreed beforehand. If we use an approved transcription or note-taking tool, we tell you at the start of the call. Any transcript or summary it produces is treated as personal data and kept as set out in section 6.

We do not intentionally collect special category data through the website. Please avoid submitting sensitive information, such as health or ethnicity, through open forms.

We use essential cookies to make the site work. If we use analytics or other non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner before setting them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the banner or your browser settings. The Cookie Policy below lists what we use.

4) Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers who act on our instructions. We require them to protect personal data and to use it only as we direct, under a written contract that meets UK GDPR controller and processor requirements.

Our providers are:

•      Squarespace, for website hosting;

•      Microsoft 365, for email, calendar booking, Teams meetings and document storage;

•      Smartsheet, for contact and pipeline records;

•      Zoom, for occasional meetings.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or with our professional advisers where needed.

5) International transfers

Some providers, including Smartsheet, may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we make sure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Our usual periods are:

We protect personal data with access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication where the platform supports it, regular review of who has access, and confidentiality commitments for anyone working on our behalf.

You have rights under UK data protection law, including to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability in some cases. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and you can opt out of marketing at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (details below).

To exercise your rights, contact info@1080consulting.co.uk. We respond within one month. For complex requests we may need up to two further months, and we will tell you why.

9) Children's data

Our services and site are not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change, and we will highlight significant updates on this page.
